What is Blind File Sharing?

Simply put, it is a File Storage and File Delivery Service especially designed for visually impaired and blind Internet users. The site specializes in large files as well as small files. FTP is the protocol for uploading files. This works great for all sizes and formats of files, and allows users to use the program of their choice for file management. Once your files are uploaded, you can share hot links to those files. This is explained further down on this page.

Blind File Sharing does not advertise. Because of this, it is impossible to provide free accounts. Having said that, we believe that the prices are very fair, and easy to understand. Below is a complete explanation of charges.

Your files are completely private! Nobody can browse your file storage. Blind File Sharing does not publish any file links from it's users. It is entirely up to you to determine what files you keep private and what files you share with your friends. Your files can only be managed via an FTP client. There is no file management via the browser. You can store files in separate directories. Use your FTP client to organize files to make sharing easier.

How are you charged for using Blind File Sharing?

Blind File Sharing offers two great plans to meet your needs for file storage and file sharing.

The first plan is called "Fixed Price Per File". This plan is designed for large files that a user wants to store and distribute. Just like the name implies, you are simply charged 2 cents whenever a file is transferred to or from your account. Whether its FTP up, FTP down, or HTTP hot link down, you are only charged 2 cents per file transferred. File size does not matter, and you are invited to store as much as you want in your account for no extra charge.

The next plan is called "Fixed Price Per Gigabyte". This plan is designed for a user who needs to store or transfer many small files. Rather than paying per file transferred, you only pay per gigabyte of data transferred to and from your account. The price is 75 cents per gigabyte transferred. There is no file size rounding! This means that you truly get a gigabyte for 75 cents. You can move as many files as you like, and you will only be charged 75 cents for every gigabyte that is moved to and from your account.

Regardless of the plan you choose, each account that stores data is charged an Account Maintenance fee of 2 dollars per month. This fee starts on the first day of the full month of membership. The fee is fixed and does not change for any reason. You will notice your account balance deducted by 2 dollars on the first day of each month.

2 cents whenever a file is uploaded or downloaded. File Size does not matter. 2 dollars account fee charged on the first of each month for users who store data on the system. Note that this is not charged until the first full month of your account. If you do not store any files on the system, then you will not be charged the 2 dollar montly fee. There are no hidden fees. There are no *reasonable usage* charges. There are no fees based on how much you store in your account. Your account will be adjusted in realtime based on file transfer and once per month for account fees.

How can you pay for using Blind File Sharing?

Once you login to your account, you can visit the "make a payment" page and use your credit card to make a payment for at least 10 dollars. You can use any major credit card. You can also send a check. The mailing address is on the "contact us" page. Blind File Sharing also accepts PayPal.
